When meeting someone for the first time from the internet, you have to use the same type of common sense
you would use with meeting someone face to face for the first time.  Remember, when you meet someone
for the first time anywhere you don’t give them any personal information about yourself until you get to know
them better and feel comfortable doing so.  At ematchHawaii.com we want you to have fun meeting new friends but
your safety should always be your number one priority.  Below are some dating tips to help make your dating
experiences as safe as possible.
  1. Never post your name, phone number, email, address or any other personal information on your ematchhawaii.com profile.
  2. Be honest in your profile and use a recent photograph. If you are misleading in your profile you are setting yourself (and them) up for disappointment.
  3. Although we do use a double-blind email system, no computer is hack-proof so you may want to set up a third party email just for on-line dating.   All messages from other members will be in your "messages" box  located in your ematchHawaii.com account.
  4. Always meet someone at a well populated, public place (restaurant, coffee shop…), never meet someone in a hotel room or your home.
  5. When meeting someone in person, always let a close friend or relative know your plans and when you are suppose to return home.
  6. If you are traveling to another island to meet someone, always stay in a hotel or with friends; never stay at someone’s home.
  7. Never have someone pick you up, always drive or take a taxi yourself to the predetermined, public location.
  8. Bring your cell phone with you.
  9. If someone sounds too good to be true, they probably are.  Listen to your instincts!

These tips are not here to frighten you, but just a reminder to use common sense!
